Excitement building for Canada Day 2025
Plans are coming together for a July 1 party!
The City of Lethbridge and Lethbridge & District Exhibition (LDE) have partnered to host the community celebration of Canada’s 158th birthday.
Start your Canada Day with great food and fun festivities at Galt Gardens. Activities in the downtown park kick off at 9 a.m. with a charity pancake breakfast, hosted by the Interfaith Food Bank. You can also check out an artisan market, Indigenous-based activities, a Show & Shine and more.

If you want to start your Canada Day with a burst of fitness, the Canada Day Park Run returns this year! This free 5K community event begins at the Kinsman Picnic Shelter and features a double loop around the lake. Find more information here.
The fun continues in the park and LDE, where we’ve locked in vendors for two popular attractions. Main stage entertainment has never been more diverse! Starting at 11 a.m. visitors can enjoy musical acts, drumming, dancing and even a bit of magic. And don’t forget about the food! More than 25 food trucks will be on-site, offering a smorgasbord of options for any palate. The main stage and food truck alley will be found outside the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre. Find the updated vendors lists on the City’s Canada Day website.
The Kids’ Activity Zone and Youth Entrepreneur Market remain at the east end of Henderson Lake Park. Vendor applications are still being accepted online.
Fireworks will cap off the celebration at 11 p.m. - weather permitting! The dazzling display will take place at the west end of Henderson Lake. Final confirmation will be shared on the City’s social media channels and announced at the event once a decision is made.
The City is pleased to provide free extended transit service for the celebration. Route 3 cityLINK Green and Route 4 cityLINK Orange will begin transporting passengers to Henderson Lake Park starting at 7 p.m. Both routes will also be available following the fireworks display.
This Canada Day project has been made possible, in part, by the Government of Canada.
