Hop on for free and shape democracy: Free transit to and from voting stations October 20
The City of Lethbridge will be offering free transit service to and from voting stations on Monday, October 20, to assist residents to vote in the 2025 Lethbridge Municipal and School Election.
This initiative is intended to ensure residents have convenient and free access to polling stations throughout the final day of the voting period, October 20. For Access-A-Ride users, free service will apply for trips to and from the polling locations on October 20.
Regular fare collection will resume on Tuesday, October 21.
You do not have to wait until Monday, October 20, to vote, however. Lethbridge residents can head to a voting station from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on October 16, 17, 18 and 20 (free transit day). Until October 18, there will be two voting stations:
- Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre (formerly the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre)
- Cor Van Raay YMCA at the Cavendish Farms Centre
- On the final day of the Election Period – October 20 – those two stations will be open, as well as a third site at the Trinity Reformed Church (1100 40 Avenue North)
If, because of a physical disability, you are unable to attend a voting station, you may request to vote at your home on October 20. Arrangements for this service need to be made by Friday, October 17, by calling 311.
Check out voting locations and plan your route using this interactive map. The Lethbridge.ca/election website has all the information voters need.
