Kick your batteries to the curb, November 17-27
Get ready to recycle your batteries, Lethbridge!
The City of Lethbridge, in partnership with Recycle Your Batteries, Canada!, is excited to bring back the Curbside Battery Collection Program for a second year.
Everyone can participate! All you need is a resealable plastic bag and a handful of AA batteries.
If you have a curbside green cart:
- Bag your batteries and seal the bag
- Roll your green cart out on your scheduled collection day between November 17-27
- Place your bag on top of your green cart
If you don't have a curbside green cart:
- Bag your batteries and seal the bag
- Drop them off at any of the City’s three yard waste sites (until November 15) or the Waste & Recycling Centre (during business hours)
Complimentary battery bags are being delivered this week to most households in Lethbridge. If you didn't receive a bag, pick one up at City Hall, Helen Schuler Nature Centre, Lethbridge Public Library (Downtown and Crossings branches) or the yard waste sites. You can also use any resealable plastic bag. There is no limit to the number of bags you can set out for collection.
Only household and single-use (AA, AAA, C, D and 9V) batteries are accepted.
