Lethbridge Transit’s Holiday Bus is comin’ to town – again!
Lethbridge Transit and local partners are bringing busloads of festive cheer this holiday season.

Returning for a second year, the Holiday Bus will be at five community events to collect donations for the Christmas Hope campaign. Visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and unwrapped new toys to go to families in need.
“The Holiday Bus was a huge source of brightness and joy last year, so we’re thrilled to bring it back again,” says Joseph Bompiani, Operations Manager, Lethbridge Transit. “This is a great partnership that supports local and brings the community together for the holidays.”
Wrapped in tinsel, lights and decorations, the Holiday Bus will make stops at:
- Thursday, November 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. – Downtown Lethbridge BRZ Christmas Tree Lighting at Festival Square
- Saturday, November 29, from 3 to 7 p.m. – Glow Lethbridge and Big Christmas & Farmers’ Market at Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre
- Saturday, December 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. – Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Calgary Hitmen at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena
- Saturday, December 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. – Stuff-a-Bus Campaign at Save-On-Foods North
- Thursday, December 18, from 5 to 9 p.m. – Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden
Christmas Hope is a collaboration of seven agencies. It aims to make the holidays brighter for less-fortunate members of our community.
“It’s wonderful to have the Holiday Bus supporting Christmas Hope again this year,” says Danielle McIntyre, Executive Director with Interfaith Food Bank and one of seven partners in the Christmas Hope collaboration. “To see Lethbridge Transit employees sharing the spirit of the season by decorating and driving this bus to so many local events to collect food and toys for children, and gifts for isolated seniors shows the value they place on the community they serve. The lights, sounds and gifts of the season are what make it so special. We’re lucky to live in a city that embraces thinking of others during the holidays.”
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the Holiday Bus and supporting those in need this holiday season,” says Jennifer Norsworthy, GM of Entertainment and Event Services, VisitLethbridge.com Arena. “The bus brings such a festive feeling to the arena and adds so much to the holiday spirit.”
“We're excited to team up with Lethbridge Transit to host the Holiday Bus at the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre,” says Sydney Koppe, Director of Community Engagement, Excite Lethbridge. “With several seasonal events happening that day, including Glow Lethbridge, we are proud to raise awareness for the Christmas Hope campaign and showcase this important initiative to our community.”
