Two homes lost in west Lethbridge fire

An investigation is underway after an early morning fire destroyed two homes in west Lethbridge.

Crews were called to Kensington Road West, in the Garry Station neighbourhood, around 2:30 a.m. on February 17. Twenty-six firefighters from all five stations arrived to find heavy smoke and flames. They worked through hazardous conditions made worse by falling temperatures and challenging weather.

Although both homes were lost, all occupants escaped safely and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no damage estimate has been released.
