Municipal Election 101 – Hiring Election workers
The City of Lethbridge is looking to hire several hundred workers to help conduct its 2025 Municipal and School Elections, set for October 8-20.
Become an Election worker
We are hiring multiple positions to help with various election jobs, which will start October 8 and continue until October 22.
Applications are open until September 2. Successful candidates will be contacted by the City of Lethbridge and training for election workers will begin in mid-September. Details on remuneration are available online.
The information collected on the application is collected under the authority of Section 4(c) of the Access to Information Act and will be used solely for the purposes of hiring election workers. For inquiries, contact election@lethbridge.ca.
List of positions
- Assistant Presiding Deputy Returning Officer: assists the presiding deputy returning officer
- Deputy Returning Officer: deals with electors, ballots and ballot boxes
- Information officer: assists electors with identification and registration
- Institutional/Assisted at home: conducts the elections at institutions and assisted at home
- Ballot counters: manual counting of ballots
Election workers must be at least 18 years or older and eligible to work in Canada. You do not have to be a Canadian citizen to apply.
