Highlights and decisions from the October 13, 2026, meeting of Lethbridge City Council.

The River Valley Fire Ban in Lethbridge has been lifted, effective immediately. 

Recent precipitation and cooler temperatures have reduced the fire risk in the River Valley. Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services will continue to monitor weather and wind conditions. Fire restrictions may be reinstated if conditions become warm, dry and windy again.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire in the 100 block of 5 Street South on Saturday, October 10, at approximately 12:12 p.m.

The City of Lethbridge is hosting another Beyond-the-Bin Recycling Roundup to collect old electronics, paint, used oil materials, tires and household hazardous waste. Join us Saturday, October 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the northwest parking lot of Park Place Mall.

The City of Lethbridge's Historic Places Advisory Committee is recruiting one citizen at large. The successful applicant will be appointed for a voluntary three-year term.
