    With warmer weather rolling in, the City of Lethbridge is reminding residents to roll out their curbside green carts every week for pick-up. 

    Weekly collection resumes this week, May 5.

    This year’s local Jane’s Walk events run May 2-4 and will cover a variety of topics and spaces, including public art, parks, historic sites, neighbourhoods, nature and more.

  • Waste and Recycling Centre Approval Renewal

    Every 10 years, the City of Lethbridge needs to renew its approval for operations at the Waste and Recycling Centre (WRC). These operations include the landfill, gas, hydrovac and compost facilities.

    The City of Lethbridge is recognizing the community’s role in the continued success of the curbside organics program as it wraps up its second year. 

  • Conserve the flow and keep more dough!

    The 2025 Environmental Incentive Program is now accepting applications! The program offers rebates for purchasing rain barrels and replacing old, inefficient toilets with new low-flow toilets.

  • 2025 Easter weekend service level changes

    Friday, April 18 is Good Friday and Monday, April 21 is Easter Monday. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.

    ​The City of Lethbridge recycles concrete, asphalt, porcelain and brick & block into aggregate products. Recycled aggregate products are available for sale to private contractors and the public.

    The City of Lethbridge’s Waste and Environment department is reminding residents to keep batteries out of the waste collection carts following two recent incidents.

  • City’s yard waste sites reopen tomorrow

    The City of Lethbridge’s three self-service yard waste sites are open for the season starting Tuesday, April 1. All three locations will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
