Funding request process

After having an initial conversation with a staff member from Opportunity Lethbridge, the Major Event Grant (MEG) Review Committee will meet with you to review and confirm if your event is eligible for MEG funding.

If they confirm the eligibility of your event, they will then:

  • Work with you to develop a submission and presentation for Council. You may be asked to provide supporting documents such as an event budget, a marketing plan, an economic impact analysis, letters of support, and more.
  • Council will make the final decision to approve or reject funding for the event.
