  • Strong community engagement drives progress on Land Use Bylaw Renewal

    Throughout the past several months, the City’s Planning and Design department has connected with thousands of residents through a variety of outreach activities. These activities were guided by an engagement plan approved and supported by City Council.  

  • Residents sought for Boards, Commissions and Committees

    Lethbridge residents wanting to make a difference in their community are encouraged to apply to be on one of City Council’s Boards, Commissions and Committees (BCCs). A recruitment campaign for a variety of positions is now underway and applications will be open until October 24 – to coincide with the 2025 Municipal Election.

    The City of Lethbridge is looking to hire several hundred workers to help conduct its 2025 Municipal and School Elections, set for October 8-20.

  • City Council approves funding to complete its Economic Development Strategy

    At its regular meeting on Tuesday, Council approved the allocation of one-time funding of $475,000 from the Municipal Revenue Stabilization Reserve (MRSR) to provide temporary resources to complete and implement its Economic Development Strategy as well as potential future development-based incentives.

  • City Council approves funding for police body-worn cameras

    Starting next year, front-line officers with Lethbridge Police Service will be wearing body-worn cameras. At its regular meeting on Tuesday, City Council approved the funding requests based on recommendations from the July 10 Economic & Finance Standing Policy Committee meeting.
