Eligible individuals, community not-for-profit organizations and for-profit organizations have one week left to submit proposals for funding for initiatives aligned with the Community Wellbeing Call for Proposal (CFP) and Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy (CWSS).
With the continuation of the Whoop-Up Drive bridge rehabilitation project, crews will be working at night starting Monday, July 22, through Wednesday, July 24. Additionally, starting at 9 a.m. Monday until about 5 p.m. Tuesday, 28 Street South will be closed at Highway 3 (Crowsnest Trail) for water-related work.

Motorists will encounter single-lane closures on University Drive West tomorrow, July 18, 2024, over the pedestrian tunnel adjacent to the Father Leonard Van Tighem School property. Lane closures will apply to northbound and southbound traffic between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm while road patching is completed. Two-way traffic will be maintained with signage and traffic control measures.
Beginning July 16, 2024, a four-way stop will be used to control traffic at the Stafford Drive North and 5 Avenue North intersection, while intersection improvements are underway.
With the continuation of the Whoop-Up Drive bridge rehabilitation project, work will be moving from the centre lane to the north lane of Whoop-Up Drive westbound beginning Friday, July 12.
Traffic will be directed to merge around the lane closures. The work on westbound lanes is expected to be complete by approximately Labour Day weekend in September, weather permitting.
Bridge maintenance and cleaning on Stafford Drive Bridge will start tomorrow; northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 and the southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Road crews will be onsite from approximately 5 am to 4 pm each day.
