The River Valley Fire Ban in Lethbridge has been lifted, effective immediately. 

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire in the 1100 block of Lakeview Drive South at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 30. 

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1400 block of 2 Avenue South at approximately 1 p.m. on July 27.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a garage fire in the 2100 Block of 17 Street North at approximately 3:50 p.m. on July 20. 

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services is strengthening local wildfire readiness after receiving $42,160 in funding from the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta.

Due to improved conditions on the Oldman River, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services is lifting the boating advisory issued on July 2, effective immediately.
