Build the Block is a community planning simulation that introduces students to how communities are shaped through collaboration, decision-making and planning. The program supports learning outcomes ranging from early discussions about citizenship and democracy to land use and community planning.
Using a custom city-building board game and 3D-printed pieces, students work together to build a growing community while making decisions about housing, roads, parks and public services. Along the way, they balance different priorities, solve planning challenges and discover how thoughtful decisions help create safe, connected and sustainable neighbourhoods.
Ready to Ride is an interactive learning experience designed to help transit passengers safely and confidently use public transit.
This program combines classroom learning with hands-on exploration of a Lethbridge Transit bus and a guided practice ride. It aims to reduce barriers and promote independence for youth and adults who may not have prior experience using public transit.
This program is also offered through an immersive virtual tour in place of a guided practice ride.
