Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to two residential structure fires in the 1200 block of Pacific Circle West on Saturday, April 14.
Twenty firefighters from five stations arrived to find both homes fully engulfed in flames. Crews worked in challenging wind conditions to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading beyond the two affected properties.
On Friday, April 11, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services crews were dispatched to a 9-1-1 call reporting a grass fire near Scenic Drive and 4 Street South.
Three stations responded with a total of 18 firefighters. Crews acted quickly to get ahead of the fire and knock it down before it could cross Scenic Drive into a nearby residential area.
The City of Lethbridge recycles concrete, asphalt, porcelain and brick & block into aggregate products. Recycled aggregate products are available for sale to private contractors and the public.

One lane of Whoop-Up Drive will be closed for parts of April 8 and 9. The closure is required to remove heavy machinery following the successful University Siphon repair.
