    Park ‘n’ Bark Lighting Closure

    Beginning tomorrow, November 28, the Park ‘n’ Bark will once again be closed to the public to allow for the completion of the lighting project.

    The work is expected to be completed by end of day Thursday, November 30, weather permitting.

    Beginning tomorrow at 9 a.m. the eastbound and westbound inside lanes will be closed on Whoop-Up Drive, east of the Scenic Drive overpass for electrical work.

    Effective immediately, 10 Avenue South will be closed between 16 Street South and 17 Street South so crews can complete an emergency sewer service repair. This work is expected to be completed by the end of the day, November 23, weather permitting.

    Park ‘n’ Bark Upcoming Closure

    Beginning Monday, November 20, the Park ‘n’ Bark will be closed to the public for the installation of light poles and bases.

    The light fixtures will be installed at a later date which will complete the project of lighting the park.

    Lethbridge City Council met as Economic and Finance Standing Policy Committee for three days from November 14 to 16 for an overview of the current economic conditions and the impact they have on the City’s financial position and resources. All recommendations from the Committee will be forwarded to City Council for potential approval at a regular meeting.

  • Whoop Up Dr sunset traffic
    New emergency protocols for Whoop-Up Drive now in place

    Lethbridge residents and motorists may recall the traffic incident in June this year that resulted in Whoop-Up Drive coming to a standstill for several hours. The incident provided City staff the opportunity to conduct a substantial review of the Whoop-Up Drive Emergency Traffic Protocol. A revised protocol has now been approved and activated by the City Manager to provide an enhanced response in the event of an incident.
