Several aging pathways, across four city parks, are set for replacement as part of an upcoming improvement project.

The City of Lethbridge’s Recreation & Culture Department is celebrating Whoop-Up Days through the magic of arts and culture - and we want YOU to be part of it!

The 2025 edition of Whoop-Up Days will officially begin with the traditional parade on Tuesday, August 19. Starting at 9 a.m. from Park Place Shopping Centre, the parade will proceed south on 3 Street South, east along 3 Avenue South out of the downtown area, turn north along 13 Street and then east along 9 Avenue North, ending at Galbraith Elementary School.

Effective immediately and until further notice, a fire ban is in place on all open fires within the City of Lethbridge’s River Valley. 

Effective immediately, heavy load trucks (excluding standard pickups) are temporarily restricted from crossing westbound on Whoop-Up Drive. All heavy load trucks must use Highway 3. The restriction is being made out of an abundance of caution.

A fresh new route is coming to south Lethbridge!

Construction is moving forward on Pathway 17. The multi-use trail will run along 43 Street South and South Parkside Drive South. Construction begins on Monday, August 11, and includes traffic disruptions and detours.
