  • Whoop-Up Days 2025 parade set for Tuesday

    The 2025 edition of Whoop-Up Days will officially begin with the traditional parade on Tuesday, August 19. Starting at 9 a.m. from Park Place Shopping Centre, the parade will proceed south on 3 Street South, east along 3 Avenue South out of the downtown area, turn north along 13 Street and then east along 9 Avenue North, ending at Galbraith Elementary School.

  • River Valley fire ban in effect

    Effective immediately and until further notice, a fire ban is in place on all open fires within the City of Lethbridge’s River Valley. 

  • Heavy load trucks temporarily restricted on westbound Whoop-Up Drive

    Effective immediately, heavy load trucks (excluding standard pickups) are temporarily restricted from crossing westbound on Whoop-Up Drive. All heavy load trucks must use Highway 3. The restriction is being made out of an abundance of caution.

  • Paving toward a new pathway

    A fresh new route is coming to south Lethbridge!

    Construction is moving forward on Pathway 17. The multi-use trail will run along 43 Street South and South Parkside Drive South. Construction begins on Monday, August 11, and includes traffic disruptions and detours.
