    The east position of the Wade Galloway Skate Park will be temporarily closed this week, as some concrete repairs will be taking place from today until Saturday.

    Lethbridge City Council, committee meetings set to resume

    The newly-updated Council Chamber at Lethbridge City Hall is ready. Beginning this week, a regular slate of Lethbridge City Council’s Standing Policy Committee (SPC) meetings are set to return with Economic SPC on Wednesday, September 13, followed by Cultural and Social SPC on Thursday, September 14.

    Partial Road Closure at 1200 Block of 6 Avenue South

    Effective immediately, both westbound lanes and one eastbound lane of 6 Avenue South between 12 Street South and 13 Street South will be closed so crews can complete an emergency sewer service repair. This work is expected to be complete by end of day September 18, weather permitting.

    Guardrail maintenance on Whoop-Up Drive Sunday

    There will be a double lane closure in the eastbound lanes on Whoop-Up Drive Sunday, September 10, to allow crews to complete guardrail maintenance work. The work is anticipated to take place between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m., weather permitting.

    Debit tap payment option being installed at 50 parking kiosks Downtown

    Another convenient way for residents to pay for parking in Downtown Lethbridge is now available. New debit tap readers are beginning to be installed at the 50 busiest parking kiosks in the Downtown core.

    The Lethbridge Transit office located at 619 4 Avenue North will be closed to the public as of Friday, September 29, 2023.

    Goldfish Mitigation – Chinook Lake and Elma Groves stormpond

    The City of Lethbridge needs to remove goldfish and koi out of Chinook Lake and Elma Groves stormpond. Goldfish and koi are non-native species introduced into lakes and stormponds that cause problems for the native species and the habitat.

    Due to parking lot repairs, the RV sani-dump station located in the Tourism Lethbridge parking lot will be unavailable to residents and visitors September 5-9.

    Residential Speed Limit Pilot Project

    The City of Lethbridge is introducing a pilot project to lower speed limits to 40 km/h in select neighbourhoods. Starting September 15, Paradise Canyons/The Canyons will be the first subdivision to begin the multi-year pilot project.
