    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services wants to wish the community a happy and healthy holiday season, but is urging caution when using open flames as lack of precipitation and dry conditions continue in the city.

  • City of Lethbridge Service Level Changes

    Monday, December 25 is Christmas Day.
    Tuesday, December 26 is Boxing Day.
    Monday, January 1 is New Year’s Day.

    The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes over the holiday season.

  • City Launches Community Safety Survey

    As part of the work associated with the Building Safer Communities Fund (BSCF) secured in July 2023, the City of Lethbridge and Lethbridge Police Service are seeking input from the community on perceptions of safety.

    The Federal BSCF aims to support Municipalities in addressing gun and gang prevalence, particularly among youth and young adults. This includes determining funding allocations for community-led projects and addressing knowledge gaps on the impacts of interventions in gun and gang violence.

  • City looking for new partners for OKI signs in 2024

    Partnership, community building and celebration of Blackfoot language and culture are front and centre as the City of Lethbridge is looking to continue the successful OKI sign project.

  • Road Closure Barrier
    Road closure on 3 Avenue South for water main repair

    Effective immediately, the westbound lanes 3 Avenue South will be closed between 19 Street South and 20 Street South so crews can complete water main repair.

    Two-way traffic will be maintained in the eastbound lanes.

  • Prepay your property taxes for 2024 and save

    Property owners can make prepayments towards their 2024 property taxes in January or February. This will result in a discount when 2024 tax bills are issued in May.

  • Road Closure Barrier
    Road closure on Mayor Magrath Drive for emergency light repair

    Residents and motorists are advised to take care driving along the northbound section of Mayor Magrath Drive as crews work to repair the traffic lights at the intersection of Crowsnest Trail.

  • City seeking interest from non-profits on leasing Bowman Building

    Beginning today, a survey is open to non-profit organizations interested in leasing the Bowman Building located at 811 5 Avenue South. The Bowman Building will have approximately 12,000 total square feet available for eligible organizations to lease.

  • New Public Hours for City Hall Starting in January

    Starting January 2, 2024, Lethbridge City Hall public hours will change to 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The change is aimed to enhance the efficiency and service quality at City Hall.
