  • Water repair impacting traffic on 3 Avenue South

    Traffic along a busy south Lethbridge roadway is being impacted by a water valve repair.

    Both westbound lanes along the 1300 block of 3 Avenue South are closed and detours are in place.

  • Water work impacting traffic on South Parkside Drive South

    A water valve repair is underway in the 3200 block of South Parkside Drive South.

  • Northside office fire under investigation

    An investigation is underway into a commercial fire in north Lethbridge. Just after 11:40 p.m. on Friday, October 4, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to an office building in the 1300 block of 33 Street North. Crews from four fire stations worked quickly to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjacent properties. 

  • House fire at Cabot Landing West causes injuries

    An investigation continues into a west Lethbridge residential fire that left two people injured.

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) responded to a residential structure fire on Cabot Landing West on Friday, October 4 at approximately 4:33 p.m. Crews from four fire stations responded to the scene after neighbours heard smoke alarms and called 9-1-1. 

  • Turn bay onto westbound 5 Avenue North/Highway 3 closed for guardrail work

    A busy turn bay in north Lethbridge will be closed for guardrail work this weekend.

    Starting Sunday, October 6, there will be no access onto westbound 5 Avenue North/Highway 3 from southbound Scenic Drive North.

    On October 4, we come together to honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), Two Spirit and LGBTQQIA+ People. The day also supports families who have been tragically touched by the loss of a loved one to violence.

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a commercial structure fire at the 1400 block of 2 Avenue South at approximately 6:47 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

    Transit Service Interruptions

    Due to the unavailability of transit operators, Lethbridge Transit has unfortunately had to implement significant route cancellations over the last few days.

  • Construction set to begin on landscaping project at southwest corner of Galt Gardens

    A joint Capital Improvement Plan-funded (CIP) project between Parks and Urban Revitalization will aim to provide a safer and more welcoming design to the southwest entrance of Downtown Lethbridge’s primary park. The Galt Gardens SW Corner Landscaping Project will improve the hardscaping, incorporate two new entrances to the pergola, improve existing lighting and add in additional lighting. Fencing will be going up Wednesday and the area will be closed off to pedestrians. The bulk of the project is anticipated to be complete by the end of October, weather permitting, with some work to be finished in spring 2025.
