In preparation for this year’s Reconciliation Week, the Reconciliation Lethbridge Advisory Committee (RLAC) and the City of Lethbridge are seeking local Indigenous artists to submit their Orange Shirt designs.

Effective immediately, the outside turning lane from Whoop Up Drive West onto Metis Trail West will be closed so crews can complete a catch basin repair.

On Tuesday, June 27, from noon until 2 p.m., the speed limit on westbound Whoop-Up Drive will be reduced to 60 km/h and the exterior lane will be closed. This will allow crews to collect further information required in the update to 2022 Bridge Rehabilitation project.

From Monday, June 26 to Wednesday, June 28, weather permitting, there will be a partial road closure for overlay paving for the eastbound lanes of 5 Avenue North from 36 Street to 41 Street. Two-way traffic will be maintained and detour signs will be posted. Motorists can expect minor delays.

Effective Monday, June 26 at 9 a.m. 18 Avenue North will be closed between 18 Street and 20 Street North so crews can complete a fire hydrant repair.

Motorists can expect minor delays this week on two busy Lethbridge roadways.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire on Aberdeen Crescent West at about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 18.

Intersection repair and paving construction will close two locations in North Lethbridge beginning Monday June 19.

Fairmount Boulevard South is closed between Mayor Magrath Drive South and Fairway Street South so crews can complete an emergency water main repair.

Patching roadwork begins tomorrow, June 15 at 9 a.m. at two separate locations.
