    Vandalism at Legacy Park has led to unauthorized sprinkler use, even during rainfall, by individuals tampering with irrigation controls. Lock boxes are being installed to prevent further damage, and the City remains committed to responsible water use.

  • Reminder that 2025 Property Taxes are due by June 30

    The City of Lethbridge is reminding all Lethbridge property owners that their 2025 property taxes are due by Monday, June 30. We ask those coming to City Hall to pay to please be patient if there are lines and to please be courteous to our City staff who are here to help you.

  • River Valley fire ban lifted

    The River Valley Fire Ban in Lethbridge has been lifted, effective immediately. Recent changes in weather conditions, including higher humidity levels, have reduced the fire risk in this area. 

  • Tips to prepare for heavy rainfall

    Rather than sunshine, the first official weekend of summer is predicted to greet residents with heavy rainfall instead. Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Lethbridge, calling for heavy precipitation amounts of between 50 mm to 100 mm, as well as and strong winds, from today to Sunday afternoon. We have several reminders to help residents prepare for heavy rainfall events.

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to an early morning structure fire at an apartment complex in the 3200 block of 20 Avenue South.

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire in the 1900 block of 6 Avenue North earlier today. 

  • City warns community of Lethbridge Transit Fare Card scam

    The City of Lethbridge is warning the public about a payment scam circulating on Facebook regarding purchasing an ‘unlimited travel smartcard.’

  • Black smoke expected from Fire Station #4 during training exercise

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) is advising the public of upcoming training exercises that may produce visible black smoke in the area.
