Ryan Parker, Councillor

Ryan was born in Taber in 1975 and moved to Lethbridge soon afterward at a very young age. He attended numerous schools in Lethbridge and graduated from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. Ryan’s post-secondary education included time at both the University of Lethbridge and Lethbridge College, from which he graduated with a Diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Ryan was first elected to City Council in 1998 and over the years, he has represented the City on various boards, committees and commissions. He was honoured and humbled to be the youngest known Councillor to take a seat on Lethbridge City Council. Now, with more than 20 years of Council experience, he still believes there's much to learn and offer to the citizens of Lethbridge.

During Ryan’s time on Council, he has been a successful entrepreneur. Having started his own publishing company, Parker Publishing Inc., Ryan was very proud when his original magazine Prairie Wheels was bought by Canada's leading publishing company, Black Press Group of Vancouver, B.C.

Ryan’s main hobbies are golf and squash, and he especially enjoys playing with his two children. Ryan is married to his high school sweetheart Mandi, and they are blessed with two sons, Gage and Owen.
