  • Final stage of 2024 Whoop-Up Drive bridge rehabilitation

    The final task of the Whoop-Up Bridge rehabilitation project is ready to proceed.

    Crews will be back on the westbound lanes of the bridge tonight, August 20 at 9 p.m.

  • Whoop-Up Days 2024 parade set for Tuesday

    The 2024 edition of Whoop-Up Days will officially begin with the traditional parade on Tuesday, August 20. Starting at 9 a.m. from Park Place Shopping Centre, the parade will proceed south on 3 Street South, east along 3 Avenue South out of the downtown area, turn north along 13 Street and then east along 9 Avenue North, ending at Galbraith Elementary School.

    It’s almost time for Whoop-Up Days! With a direct tie-in to Lethbridge’s biggest festival, I’m happy to announce the return of the Mayor’s Community Barbecue for a third year. It will take place on Tuesday, August 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. outside Lethbridge City Hall on 4 Avenue, following the Whoop-Up Days parade.

  • Lethbridge’s River Valley fire ban remains in effect

    The City of Lethbridge’s River Valley fire ban remains in effect. The fire ban prohibits wood campfires on City land, campgrounds and private land located within the River Valley.
