The City of Lethbridge is proud to partner with Lethbridge Polytechnic for their annual community celebration.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire on McGill Boulevard West this morning at 12:30 a.m. Crews from four stations were dispatched after a 9-1-1 call reported a fire on the second floor. 

On Thursday, September 11, Lethbridge Fire & Emergency Services will host the annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial Parade and Ceremony. This memorial is held to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty during the past year and to acknowledge and celebrate the dedication and sacrifice of all uniformed personnel who serve their communities. 

A busy north Lethbridge intersection will operate as a four-way stop on Wednesday, September 10.

The Lethbridge Animal Shelter is full and facing significant space challenges.

In the past week, three ongoing investigations led to the intake of 20 animals, including several dogs.

First responders save lives every day. Now they’re giving back through plasma donation. Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services and Lethbridge Police Service are joining Canadian Blood Services in the national Sirens for Life campaign, a partnership that brings together first responders across Canada to save lives through blood and plasma donation.

Lethbridge residents wanting to make a difference in their community are encouraged to apply to be on one of City Council’s Boards, Commissions and Committees (BCCs). A recruitment campaign for a variety of positions is now underway and applications will be open until October 24 – to coincide with the 2025 Municipal Election.
