Crews will be out painting lines on Whoop-Up Drive from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. on August 2 and August 3. The speed limit on Whoop-Up Drive will be reduced to 60 km/h during those hours each night.

Lethbridge residents are encouraged to apply to be on one of City Council’s Boards, Commissions and Committees (BCCs) – as each public role provides an opportunity to participate in the present and future direction of the city.  A recruitment campaign is now underway and applications will be open until September 22, 2023, for a variety of positions.

Highlights from the July 25, 2023, Lethbridge City Council meeting

Lethbridge City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously in favour of a request originally brought forward by Economic Development Lethbridge to help the community attract more film and television production to the community.

A full road closure will occur on July 27, beginning at 7:00 am on 4 Avenue South, from 11 Street South to 12 Street South. The paving overlay work is expected to be completed in one day.

Transportation Operations will be continuing bridge maintenance on Scenic Drive North over 5^th Avenue North starting Wednesday August 2. The work is expected to be completed by end of day, August 3, weather permitting.

When Lethbridge City Council meetings resume in September, those attending and watching online will see and hear some positive differences. Beginning today and set to be completed before the first meeting back in mid-September, several technological upgrades will be taking place in Chamber

The City of Lethbridge has been successful in securing time-limited Federal funding to help address issues on gun and gang violence.

This Bylaw amends bylaw 6296 the Clean Energy Improvement Tax Bylaw to remove annual caps on funding the program, allowing more property owners to have access to funding sooner. It does not change the overall program spending limit.
