What’s under the High Level Bridge could hurt you.
That’s why Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services is working with Canadian Pacific Kansas City to improve safety in the Oldman River where it meets the iconic High Level Bridge.
The Assets and Infrastructure Standing Policy Committee will be considering the lands within the University of Lethbridge South Outline Plan owned by the University of Lethbridge. The purpose of an outline plan is to provide detailed planning and engineering framework to facilitate the phased subdivision and development of a new neighbourhood.
Effective immediately, heavy load trucks (excluding standard pickups) are temporarily restricted from crossing westbound on Whoop-Up Drive. All heavy load trucks must use Highway 3. The restriction is being made out of an abundance of caution.

Construction is moving forward on Pathway 17. The multi-use trail will run along 43 Street South and South Parkside Drive South. Construction begins on Monday, August 11, and includes traffic disruptions and detours.
