The City of Lethbridge has resumed weekly reporting of water levels in the Oldman, St. Mary and Waterton reservoirs.
I was pleased to attend yesterday’s budget announcement in Edmonton, on behalf of Lethbridge City Council. One of our biggest priorities remains the need for future expansion plans for water and wastewater, so it was encouraging to see that Budget 2025 allocates $520 million across three years to support small and mid-sized municipalities in building or enhancing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.
Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire on Temple Crescent West shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 27.
Crews arrived to find a significant fire on the front porch, spreading toward the attic. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, preventing further damage to the home.
Effective immediately and until further notice, a fire ban is in place on all open fires within the City of Lethbridge’s River Valley. Current weather conditions, including warmer temperatures, low humidity and forecasted winds, significantly elevate the fire risk in the River Valley.
To close 0.032 acre (0.013 ha), more or less, portion of Road Plan 101 0289 (Rocky Mountain Blvd/SunRidge Blvd W) Road Right-of-Way.
What Does This Mean?
If the City Council approves the Bylaw 6480. The 0.032 acre (0.013 ha), more or less, portion of Road Right-of-Way will be legally closed and consolidated with the adjacent City’s property for the future Watermark residential development.
