The Audit Standing Policy Committee provides recommendations to City Council relating to the oversight and stewardship of:

• Internal controls over financial reporting
• The independence and performance of the auditors
• Reviews of departments and projects
• Risk identification and exposure

Meetings

The Audit Standing Policy Committee will meet on Wednesdays four times per year or as required. View our Council and Standing Policy Committee Meeting Calendar for a complete list of upcoming meeting dates.

Meetings are conducted in-person and virtually through Microsoft Teams.

Meeting Attendance and Appearing Before the SPC

All meetings are open to the public. If you would like more information contact the City Clerk's Office cityclerk@lethbridge.ca or 311.

If you would like to appear before the SPC on an existing agenda item or, if you would like to request to appear before the SPC with your own agenda item please click here for more information.

The committee may also invite experts from the community to present information on a topic before them.
