20th Avenue South Green Strip (Lions Centennial Playground)

The 20th Avenue Green Strip and Lions Centennial Playground located on 20th Avenue South between 20th Street and Mayor Magrath Drive South are part of the long linear park system travelling east-west which connect the river valley to Henderson Park and the Coal Banks Trail pathway system.

This is a popular park used by those out for their regular walk, jog, or bike ride. This green strip has a bonus playground and basketball court, located in the Lions Centennial Park at the east end of the green strip near Mayor Magrath Dr. The playground consists of slides, climbing structures, and swings. There is also room for impromptu recreational activities or a pick up basketball game.

This green strip is a great spot for families wanting to get out for some regular exercise and play time with the kids. If you continue west you will come upon Ravine Park, better known as the Sugar Bowl, and pedestrian links to Scenic Drive and Indian Battle Park Pathways.
