FAQs
Find your answers to frequently asked questions about the Recreation & Culture Guide in Lethbridge.
Why is the Recreation & Culture Guide moving to a digital-first format?
The digital-first format allows Recreation & Culture to provide more timely information, update program details more quickly, improve accessibility, reduce printing and distribution costs, and decrease environmental impacts.
Will printed Recreation & Culture Guides still be available?
Yes. While the full monthly guide will be available online, a condensed monthly tri-fold brochure will continue to be available at community distribution locations free of charge.
Where can I access the full Recreation & Culture Guide?
The complete guide can be viewed online at www.lethbridge.ca/recguide from a computer, tablet or mobile device.
What information will be included in the printed brochure?
The brochure will feature key programs, registration information, upcoming events, swim and skate facility access information, and directions on how to access the full digital guide.
What if I do not have regular internet access?
Printed brochures will remain available throughout the community. Residents may also access the digital guide through public computers available at local libraries and other public access locations.
Will advertisers still be able to advertise in the Recreation & Culture Guide?
Yes. Advertising opportunities will continue and will include new digital options, such as featured placements and direct website links. Advertising will be limited to sport and recreation, arts and culture-based programming, events, and activities within the Lethbridge regional. Advertising approval is at the discretion of the City of Lethbridge’s Recreation & Culture Guide publishing team.
Can program information be updated after the guide is published?
Yes. One of the key benefits of the digital-first format is the ability to quickly update information when new programs, schedule changes, or registration opportunities become available. This includes edits to existing advertisements, but does not include new or late submissions for advertising.
